BenchmarkGuggenheim Real Estate’s benchmark is a composite index consisting of 70% of a private real estate index and 30% of a public real estate index. The private real estate return index is the NCREIF Property Index, and is prepared quarterly by The National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. The public real estate return index is the FTSE NAREIT Equity REITs Index, prepared daily by The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Guggenheim Real Estate believes that the 70% NCREIF/30% FTSE NAREIT benchmark is representative of the investable domestic commercial real estate universe.
